The Role

As a DevOps Engineer/Sr. DevOps Engineer, you will have the crucial responsibility but encompasses overseeing the UAT and production environments. This role extends far beyond routine application maintenance. It offers a chance to create a significant influence by continuously exploring avenues to improve and automate processes and procedures. Additionally, you will play a vital role in staying updated on emerging technologies, platforms, and applications within the banking/fintech industry. You will also have the opportunity to educate teams on the implementation of new cloud-based initiatives. Your valuable contribution as a respected member of the technical team is highly anticipated in this pursuit.

How You'll Contribute

• Collaborate closely with SBF ITG operation support teams, colleagues, and vendor support teams
• Enhance automation and streamline processes to achieve optimization.
• Serve as an escalation point for incidents, identify root causes, and implement preventive measures Identify the business requirements, analyze the alternatives, and conduct product recommendations related to the platform, software, and network configurations.
• Execute production system changes following the IT change management process.
• Monitor system and infrastructure performance, taking corrective actions as needed.
• Contribute to the development, testing, and automation (use of scripts).
• Aid in tracking applications to enable the implementation of alerts.
• Uphold SLAs, System Availability, Capacity Management, and Performance KPIs.

What We’re Looking For

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Preferably with Banking and/or FinTech experience
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in developing, integrating, and implementing banking systems and cloud solutions specifically on AWS
• Proficient in utilizing Unix Server commands at an advanced level
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and Agile methodologies
• Proven track record in managing technical environments spanning from UAT to production
• Competence in process automation to enhance technology efficiency and effectiveness
• Exceptional technical documentation abilities
• Excellent understanding of APIs and Web Services
• Familiarity with ITIL and Agile methodologies
• Proficiency in Azure and GCP platforms
• Hands-on experience with monitoring tools
• Possessing knowledge and experience with the following technologies is a plus: Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle DB, MongoDB, and Automation tools and processes such as Python, PERL, Ansible and more
