Product Owner

Job Description:

• Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and prioritize product features and requirements.
• Maintain and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring the most valuable items are at the top.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, addressing their concerns and managing expectations.
• Collaborate with the development team to define acceptance criteria and ensure product quality.
• Plan and coordinate product releases, considering business priorities and resource availability.
• Continuously seek feedback from stakeholders and end-users to drive product improvement.
• Adapt and adjust product backlog based on market demands, changing business needs, and feedback.
• Work with other Product Owners in a scaled Agile framework to ensure alignment and synchronization.
• Collaborate with other roles, such as Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches, to foster effective Agile practices.
• Provide guidance and direction to the development team, ensuring clarity and understanding of product requirements.
• Monitor and analyze product metrics to gain insights and make data-driven decisions.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and communication to ensure smooth product development.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to the product domain.
• Advocate for the customer and end-users, ensuring their needs and feedback are considered in product decisions.
• Drive continuous improvement by experimenting with new ideas, processes, and techniques.
• Actively engage in knowledge sharing and participate in community of practice sessions to enhance skills and expertise.

Skills & Requirements:

• Graduate of BS in Information Technology/ Computer Science or any IT-related course
• Strong understanding of Agile principles and methodologies
• In-depth knowledge of product management concepts and practices.
• Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or other scaled Agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape in the product domain.
• Understanding of software development processes and technologies relevant to the product.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and development teams.
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills to guide the product development process.
• Ability to prioritize and manage product backlog, ensuring maximum value delivery.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to gather requirements, analyze data, and make informed decisions.
• Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills to manage stakeholder expectations and resolve conflicts.
• Organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• User-centric mindset and empathy to understand customer needs and drive customer-focused product development.
• Experience working as a Product Owner or similar role in Agile software development projects.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering products or features to market.
• Experience in gathering and analyzing customer feedback to drive product improvements.
• Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and customers.
• Experience in managing product backlogs and working in an Agile development environment.
• Experience in using Agile tools and frameworks, such as Jira, Scrum, or Kanban.
